Anahata The Unstruck Heart

by

Opening up the heart center is the key to healing.  We must learn to forgive others and ourselves from past wrong doings.  THE PAST HAS NO POWER IN THE PRESENT MOMENT.  It is over and done.

I think that we sometimes confuse forgiveness with trust and respect.  When we forgive we are not condoning the actions or behavior. We are simply forgiving it.

This does not mean that we respect or trust this person. Respect and trust are yours to give.  This is where your power lies.  Carrying a grievance does not punish the person who has wronged you, it only clutters your own heart.

Forgiveness is a gift to the self.  When you forgive you let go of baggage in the heart that does not serve you and you make space for joy.  So live your life as if your heart has never been struck by another.  Forgive, let go and heal.

This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all.  Even if they are a crowd of sorrows.  Who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture.  Still treat each guest honorably.  He may be clearing you for some new delight.
